- Main ingredient:Â Malbhog Dhan (a variety of sticky rice) flattened into thin rice flakes (Sira).Â
- Serving with:Â Thick yogurt (preferably buffalo milk yogurt) and jaggery.Â
- Occasion:Â Often eaten during the Assamese festival of Bihu.Â
- Get the rice:Â Procure Malbhog Dhan rice.Â
- Flatten the rice:Â Use a traditional rice flattening method or a modern rice flaking machine to turn the rice into thin, crispy “Sira” flakes.Â
- Serve:Â In a bowl, add a generous amount of Malbhog Sira, top with thick yogurt, and sprinkle with jaggery to taste.Â
