• Plant Used: Murta plant (Schumannianthus dichotomus), found in marshy areas.
• Harvesting: Mature Murta stems are cut, split into thin strips, and soaked in water to make them flexible.
• Weaving:

  • The strips are woven tightly without any gaps, creating a smooth, durable, and elegant mat.
